The Squall Hardshell Jacket is a high-tech waterproof, breathable membrane jacket. It was made for demanding enthusiasts of outdoor and tactical activities, but it’s versatile. Squall completes the Helikon-Tex offer with the modern outer layer. Now you can dress with us from head to foot, from thermal underwear to hardshell. We tried to meet the top industry standards, focusing on a simple and functional design.

TorrentStretch® waterproof membrane - new on the market
With the Squall Hardshell Jacket, we're launching a brand new TorrentStretch® membrane. It is a three-layer laminate with a microporous membrane between the outer protective layer and the integrated lining. They have been designed so that the jacket does not let water in, but they are large enough to wick away moisture. The three-layer TorrentStretch® membrane has a waterproof rating of 30,000 mm of water column.
Hardshell Squall is a full-fledged rain jacket. It also has taped seams and a hood with a high collar, adjustable in two places. YKK® AquaGuard® zippers provide additional protection from water. Jacket is pre-treated with a DWR coating free of perfluorocarbons (PFCs).
High breathability of the Squall Jacket
The rainproof effect is completed by the very good breathability of the hardshell. The transfer of water vapor from the body to the outside of the jacket determines the RET evaporative resistance coefficient. The lower it is, the better the breathability. The highest level is represented by products with a RET factor of 0 to 6. Our Squall Hardshell Jacket has a RET of <5, which gives excellent results, especially with a breathability of 30,000 g/m²/24h.
In addition, the Squall Jacket has vents under the arms, as well as adjustable cuffs and regulation: in the hood and at the bottom edge of the jacket. Those features make it easy to adjust the level of adherence of the hardshell to the body.
