UTP Pants – the iconic tactical pants with 12 pockets. A benchmark for EDC
In an urban environment, every detail matters – mobility, functionality, and comfort. Urban Tactical Pants (UTP) have long set the standard for tactical clothing. Featuring twelve pockets, strong yet flexible fabric, and a cut that blends tactical utility with a low-profile look, these pants work with you – on duty, at the range, or in your daily EDC setup.
Are UTP Pants suitable for everyday wear?
Yes. UTP combines the functionality of tactical pants with a discreet design. They look like classic city pants on the outside, but inside, they offer solutions appreciated by those who value practicality and readiness for any situation.
Everything in its place – pocket layout
The UTP pocket arrangement is the result of extensive field testing. Each pocket is exactly where it should be:
- 2 classic front pockets with reinforced edges – perfect for a flashlight or knife clip,
- 4 thigh pockets – two zippered, two with hook-and-loop flaps (fit AK/AR magazines),
- 4 rear pockets – two wide and two slim for small essentials,
- 2 hidden internal pockets for pistol mags or compact tools.
Comfort and durability – the fabric
Tactical pants must be both durable and comfortable. That’s why this version of UTP is made from PolyCotton Stretch RipStop. The cotton-polyester blend makes the fabric lightweight, quick-drying, and resistant to abrasion, while a small amount of spandex ensures flexibility – a crucial feature for tactical wear. Unlike many heavy-duty garments that sacrifice comfort for strength, UTP combines military-grade toughness with civilian-level comfort and style.
What is RipStop fabric?
RipStop is a special weave featuring reinforced threads woven at regular intervals, creating a grid pattern. This design makes the fabric more resistant to tearing and fraying – even if damaged, the tear won’t spread. An ideal solution for tactical and outdoor pants.
Small details, big difference
Urban operations demand versatility. That’s why UTP offers additional features:
- hook & loop front closure instead of a button for quick adjustment (up to 6 cm),
- elastic insert at the back of the waistband for a better fit,
- belt loops that fit belts up to 50 mm (e.g., Cobra or Urban Tactical Belt),
- flat loops on front belt loops for attaching a carabiner, lanyard, or ID retractors,
- knee pad compartments for added protection.
With its wide range of features, UTP has earned the trust of countless users, proving itself in urban environments and beyond.
