Designed for the urban jungle, Urban Tactical Pants (UTP) have become a classic in tactical wear. At their launch, they were a novelty in the industry and quickly conquered the market. Everything in its place: the pockets
The pocket layout in the pants is designed to combine the practicality of tactical wear with a subdued appearance. This means they don't look like typical combat pants, though they retain all their functionalities. UTPs feature a total of twelve pockets. Two standard front pockets with reinforced edges easily accommodate a flashlight or knife clip. Four thigh pockets offer various closures: two with zippers and two with hook & loop under flaps (capable of fitting an AK/AR magazine). Additionally, there are four rear pockets: two wide ones, each with two narrower spaces for smaller items. UTPs also include two hidden inner pockets suitable for pistol magazines.
Comfort and durability: the material
Tactical pants need to be both comfortable and durable. Hence, UTPs are made from PoliCotton RipStop material consisting of 60% cotton, 37% polyester, and 3% spandex. The blend of cotton and polyester results in a fabric that's relatively lightweight, quick-drying, durable, and resistant to wear and tear. A slight addition of spandex makes the material stretchable, and crucial for tactical pants. Durable wear is often stiff and uncomfortable, while flexible and light clothing tends to wear out quickly. UTPs combine the strengths of solid military attire with the comfort and aesthetic of modern civilian clothes.
The perfect pair
Urban operations require readiness for various situations, necessitating versatile clothing. Numerous pockets and sturdy, comfortable materials aren't all that UTPs offer. They come with several small conveniences for user comfort. Instead of a traditional button, there's a wide hook & loop closure for about 6 cm of waist adjustment. Additionally, the back of the waistband features an elastic band for flexibility and easy fit adjustment. Belt loops accommodate belts up to about 50 mm wide (e.g., a tactical Cobra belt or Urban Tactical Belt). Plus, two front loops have flat hooks for attaching a carabiner, key ring, or ID retractors. The pants also include knee pad compartments. The functionality of UTPs is extensive, and with each passing year, they're appreciated by more users testing them in the urban jungle and beyond.
