We made them from ripstop polyester so they not only keep out the rain but also withstand snags, abrasion, and daily use in harsh environments.
The ripstop weave reinforces the fabric and prevents any tears from spreading.

The poncho is lightweight and takes up very little space when packed. This means you can toss it into your backpack, bike pannier, or even a glove compartment and forget about it until you really need it.
When packed, it fits into a small pouch that easily slips into any side pocket of your backpack.

You don’t have to choose between staying dry and carrying your gear. The loose fit allows you to wear the poncho over your clothes and a medium-sized backpack. Plus, the drawstring hood lets you adjust the fit precisely to your head and protects your head from wind and rain.

Snaps along the sides allow you to adjust the sleeves and improve the fit of the poncho while walking. You can also connect two ponchos to create a larger canopy or a makeshift shelter in the field.
