Unlike down, synthetic fiber insulation keeps you warm even when wet and does not clump. The poncho can be machine-washed. The insulation is lightweight, efficient, breathable, and compressible.
In the Swagman Roll, we use Climashield® Apex™ insulation with a weight of 67 g/m², just like in the winter Wolfhound jacket. Combined with the classic U.S. Model Poncho, it creates an effective setup for rain and cold.
MultiCam® camouflage enables effective concealment in various environments
The poncho is made from original MultiCam® fabric by Crye Precision™ (Crye Precision LLC). The pattern does not imitate a single environment; thanks to smooth tonal transitions and multi-scale geometry, it effectively blurs the silhouette, making identification more difficult at different distances and in changing light conditions.
Its versatility has made the pattern a standard used by special forces units around the world.

Swagman Roll as a tribute to travelers
In the past, trappers, soldiers, and so-called swagmen (in Australia, itinerant workers) did not carry sleeping bags – they kept warm with rolled wool blankets. Over time, these were replaced with synthetic liners, which, combined with a poncho, created insulated rain protection. Today, our ponchos reference that tradition as a modern, multifunctional product.
