Lightweight poncho protecting against harsh weather conditions
A waterproof rain cape that can transform into a shelter is made from tear-resistant rip-stop polyester material. This is an improved, lighter version of our Poncho US Model. The standard US Poncho has almost 60 years of tradition and still works well, but in creating the Lightweight Poncho, we removed various construction parts, leaving only essential ones. By replacing metal eyelets with loops made of strong webbing, we reduced the weight and decreased the dimensions of the cape when folded while maintaining its full size when unfolded.
The cape has two snaps that allow for the making of sleeves to prevent them from blowing up when worn on the body. The new hood type has a practical drawstring adjuster that works much better than the original. The Lightweight Poncho can be packed into the included carrying pouch when folded. All mounting points have been reinforced with special tear-resistant fabric.
