A comfortable way to carry essential equipment
The chest rig keeps magazines centered on the chest, making them easier to access while moving and working in confined spaces. The design does not restrict mobility and works well with a backpack. When expanded with additional modules, it can serve as a lightweight training or reconnaissance setup.
Construction resistant to intensive use
The rig withstands frequent packing and transport of heavy gear, as well as contact with the ground. We made it from Cordura® 500D, which increases resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. The fabric is coated with a DWR finish to reduce water absorption and make cleaning easier. We also used Woojin® components, which operate reliably even under heavy load and in changing temperatures.

Fit AK/AR magazines. If needed, you can replace the flaps with the included pullers for faster access.

Lined with soft hook-and-loop. Designed for a map, documents, or Competition/VIS system inserts.

Hook-and-loop panel
Located under the flaps. Allows the chest rig to be mounted as a front flap to a plate carrier or to attach a dangler.
The name Chicom (short for China Communist) indicates that this chest rig originated in the People's Republic of China.
In the 1940s, the Chinese army introduced canvas load-bearing rigs worn on shoulder straps at chest height instead of on a belt. The simple, economical, and comfortable design was later developed into successive versions. It gained popularity during the Vietnam War, when the equipment was adopted by U.S. forces, and after 2000, Chicoms became popular again due to the involvement of U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
