SAS Smock

Description

SAS Smock is a reinterpretation of a military parka designed with field performance in mind.

Exceptionally durable Duracanvas main fabric

This is a proprietary fabric developed by our technologists for demanding outdoor applications. It is distinguished by its high resistance to abrasion, tearing, and contact with sparks, which is crucial in rugged terrain.

We have adapted the material for wax impregnation, so you can increase your clothing's resistance to rain, snow, and dirt yourself.

An iconic cut in a modern version

The SAS Smock jacket retains the characteristic loose fit and functionality known from military models, but has been adapted to contemporary bushcraft needs. It offers a balanced combination of durability and versatility. It is lighter than the Anorak Pilgrim, yet more feature-rich than the Woodsman – making it a great alternative to both models.

Adjustment and fit for field conditions

SAS Smock features four points of adjustment. Thanks to them, you can tailor the jacket to your body, layering system, and current weather conditions. Underarm vents further increase breathability and make temperature regulation easier during more intense activity.

hem and cuff adjustment

A drawcord at the hem helps seal the jacket, while hook-and-loop cuffs allow you to adjust sleeve width and improve overall comfort.

Waist adjustment

Allows you to tailor the jacket to your body shape. When tightened, the drawcord creates characteristic gathers that highlight the iconic cut.

Adjustable hood

A drawcord sewn into the edge and a horizontal adjustment at ear level allow precise fitting of the head protection.

Eight spacious pockets designed by our bushcraft-experienced team

The pockets combine classic military solutions with modern functionality. Their interiors are made of lightweight mesh, helping maintain a reasonable jacket weight despite high capacity.

Chest pockets with flaps

Two classic square pockets fastened with Canadian-style buttons. Loops sewn under the flaps allow you to secure small accessories with a cord.

Lower pockets with flaps

Two pockets analogous to the chest ones. Instead of internal loops, they feature an external corner webbing for attaching accessories with a carabiner.

Flat zippered pockets

Located beneath the flap pockets – one under each. They provide additional space for small gear.

The SAS Smock jacket was inspired by military garments worn by SAS (Special Air Service) units, among others

Since the end of World War II, many smock models have been created and valued for their loose, comfortable cut and large number of pockets. This design ensured that packed equipment would not fall out, for example, during parachute jumps. In 1963, the military smock was produced in DPM camouflage. The characteristics of this type of jacket were adopted in many countries due to its versatility.
