This is our proprietary 3-layer (3L) laminate, developed for intense activity in demanding weather conditions.
A waterproof rating of 30,000 mm provides reliable protection during heavy rain and strong winds. The integrated membrane with micropores blocks water from the outside while efficiently transporting moisture generated by the body outward.
Active ventilation for heat and moisture efficient management
Breathability rated at 30,000 g/m²/24h and a low RET value of 7 means very low resistance to vapor transfer – a key factor during high-intensity activity.
The TorrentStretch® membrane efficiently dissipates excess heat and moisture, preventing overheating and maintaining comfort during long ascents, exposed movement, and intensive work in mountainous terrain.
YKK® AquaGuard® waterproof zippers
Provide additional rain protection without compromising zipper smoothness. The convenient two-way main zipper, finished with a Prym snap, maintains jacket tightness while allowing easy adjustment during movement.
The outer layer is protected by a water-repellent DWR coating
Durable water repellency increases resistance to dirt, reduces material absorption, and slows moisture penetration. These benefits make the product easier to care for and help it retain its properties over time.

Hook-and-loop adjustable cuffs and a drawcord at the hem let you adapt the jacket to changing conditions.
We designed the Hardshell Squall as a year-round outer layer for work in variable conditions.
In summer, it protects against wind and precipitation; in winter, it serves as a base for a layered clothing system. To fully utilize the jacket’s capabilities, wear technical insulating and moisture-wicking layers underneath. In winter, thermal underwear (e.g., US LVL 1) combined with a lightweight insulation layer such as the Wolfhound Hoodie works best.
Chest pockets
Two chest pockets are positioned higher, remaining accessible even when wearing a backpack with a fastened hip belt.
Internal pocket
Provides additional protection for documents or a phone against adverse weather conditions.
Compact packing
When packed into its hood, the jacket easily fits into a trekking or EDC backpack. The 3L laminate resists excessive creasing, and the low weight makes transport easier.
