Anorak Tracer – a unisex tactical jacket in camouflage, with eight pockets and full adjustability
Until now, our anoraks were mostly offered in civilian versions. Tracer is our response to the needs of users operating in the field – a tactical version made entirely of camouflage fabric, without softshell panels. Based on the proven Woodsman model, the Tracer gains new functionality: additional shoulder and front pockets, plus more adjustment points.
How is Tracer different from other anoraks in our range?
The Anorak Tracer is a more tactical variant – made entirely from camouflage fabric, without softshell inserts, featuring added shoulder pockets and greater adjustability. Unlike the Woodsman, it performs better in military field operations.
Anorak as a military jacket
Designed with uniformed services in mind, the Tracer is made entirely from a single material, ensuring a consistent camouflage pattern. We eliminated softshell panels and added full-length side zippers, making ventilation and on/off much easier. This means the Tracer can easily replace a combat shirt or traditional field jacket. Its loose, oversized cut allows you to wear it over a fleece or a lightweight insulating layer (like the Wolfhound Hoodie), adding versatility for different conditions.
Is the Anorak Tracer compatible with a tactical vest?
Yes, the Tracer is designed with gear compatibility in mind. Two shoulder pockets remain easily accessible even when wearing a plate carrier, while the large main pocket and pass-through front pocket offer extra storage for essentials.
Unisex means universal
The Anorak Tracer is Helikon-Tex’s first fully unisex model. Its cut does not emphasize the waist or shoulders, remaining comfortable and practical for any body type. Multi-point adjustment ensures a personalized fit:
- hood side drawcords,
- hem cinch cord,
- adjustable waist,
- adjustable cuffs.
All you need is the right size - no compromises.
Unisex sizing – how to choose your size?
Sizes follow the men’s size chart. Women should choose one size smaller than usual (e.g., women’s M = men’s S). This guarantees the right fit for everyone.
Smart pocket layout
The Anorak Tracer comes with eight functional pockets:
- two shoulder pockets,
- one large front main compartment,
- three internal organizer pockets,
- one external top pocket,
- one front pass-through pocket.
Shoulder pockets provide easy access when wearing a vest. The large main pocket includes organizers and an external pocket for quick-access items. The pass-through pocket beneath it is perfect for warming your hands or stashing gloves.
What layers can you wear under the Anorak Tracer in winter?
Thanks to its oversized cut, the Tracer easily accommodates an insulating layer like the Wolfhound Hoodie or a tactical fleece. This lets you adapt your setup for winter conditions without giving up your outer camouflage shell.
