If the available source does not provide crystal clear fluid, the Survival water purification filter is excellent for preliminary preparation of water for consumption. It removes all solids from the fluid, effectively eliminating mechanical impurities. After filtration, simply use chemical tablets or boil the water to make it fully potable.
Based on a design used by the British army during World War II, the Survival filter has been equipped with an integral carrying bag and a string, which can be used to attach it to a branch or another station.
