| ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System) is a multilayer protective clothing system developed for the U.S. Armed Forces. Its purpose is to enable operations in extreme weather – from chilly days to arctic temperatures. Each layer has a role: from moisture wicking and insulation to wind and snow protection. Level 7 is the final, outer layer – responsible for thermal insulation and retaining warmth in the harshest conditions. Its mission is to give you maximum protection when other layers are no longer enough. |
A military jacket for serious temperatures
We tested it in extreme cold so you get a field-proven product. The synthetic Climashield® Apex™ insulation is thicker than in our other jackets (like the Wolfhound models). Instead of the standard 67 g/m², Level 7 uses 100 g/m², offering even better heat retention under challenging conditions – even when wet. The ripstop outer fabric protects against wind and light rain, all while maintaining the breathability you need on the move.
