Level 7 doesn’t ask about the conditions. It just works
You know that cold doesn’t forgive mistakes. That’s why we left nothing to chance. Level 7 is our most advanced outdoor jacket – designed as the final line of defense against low temperatures, in accordance with the third-generation ECWCS system.
| ✔ | What is the ECWCS system and how does the Level 7 jacket work? |
| ECWCS stands for Extended Cold Weather Clothing System – a multi-layered clothing system developed to support survival and operations in extreme weather conditions. Each layer serves a specific function: from moisture and thermal management to protection from snow, wind, and frost. The Level 7 jacket is the final layer of this system – the outermost and most insulating one. |
We made it from lightweight, durable ripstop nylon that shields against wind and moisture while allowing your skin to breathe. The Climashield® Apex™ insulation doesn’t lose its properties even when wet – it keeps working, right alongside you. No delay, no compromise.
| ✔ | Why did we choose Climashield® Apex™? |
| Because it’s the kind of insulation that performs when others fail. In the Level 7 jacket, we use Climashield® Apex™ insulation with a density of 100 g/m² – thicker than what you’ll find in our lighter models like the Wolfhound jacket. This means: | |
| The jacket retains heat effectively, even when wet | |
| It dries very quickly | |
| It compresses easily, for example in a backpack |
We fine-tuned every detail to make sure the Level 7 delivers in the field. It features an adjustable, helmet-compatible hood that stows away in the collar, and pockets designed so you don’t need to remove your gloves. The two-way main zipper allows quick access to gear worn underneath. And to make transportation easier, the jacket comes with its own compression sack.
Pockets: always accessible when you need them
- 2 external chest pockets lined with fleece – with dividers for phones and small gear
