Natural down retains heat excellently, but when it gets damp, it loses its properties. Climashield® is a world leader in producing insulation from continuous synthetic fibers, and the Apex™ type is the lightest and most thermally efficient. This insulation is durable and works even when wet.
We've used it in our jackets with a fill weight of 67 or 100 g/m2. This insulation is included in all models of the Wolfhound, Husky, and Level 7 jackets.
In line with the American ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System), the Level 7 winter jacket is the final outer layer for low temperatures.
